Roxton leaned on the railing of the balcony. Ned came up to Roxton.

"Watcha thinkin' bout?"

Roxton didn't answer.

"Ever think that earth has changed since we've been here?" Ned asked. "Sometimes I do, I wonder if somewhere in the world a child was born, I would just sometimes like to know what's going on in the world."

"Is Marguerite searching for more of those stupid gems?" Roxton asked.

Ned Sighs. *He's not even listening to me*

"I don't know." Ned responded.

"I'm going to go look for her, she could be in danger." Roxton rushed out of there, before Ned could say another word.

Ned got a sly grin, *Aw, Roxton like's Maguerite, otherwise he wouldn't be going to look for her.*

* * * * * *

"Marguerite!" Roxton yelled.

Marguerite came out from behind him. "What? I'm right here, what's all the commotion about, did Ned get himself in trouble again?"

"Well, No.. I just wanted to see if you were okay." Roxton answered.

"Why, Roxton, is that concern I hear in your voice?" Marguerite responded, giving him a half smile.

"What? Concern? Why would I be concerned about a woman like you?" Roxton asked.

"Whatever you say." She then turned and walked back to the hut, with a smile on her lips, she loved making him trail along like a lovesick puppy dog.

Veronica sharpened her knife. Ned gulped, it was now or never.

"Um, Veronica.." Ned came up beside her.

"Yes, Ned?" She asked, still intent on sharpening her knife.

"I was talking to Roxton earlier and he was acting like he was in a different world, I think that he was thinking about Marguerite." Ned spat out.

Veronica dropped her knife, and looked at Ned, her eyes were wide and her jaw was practically on the floor.

"What?" Veronica asked.

"I think Roxton likes Marguerite." Ned stated.

"You're pulling my leg aren't you?" Veronica asked, still shocked.

"He said he was going to see if she was all right." Ned said.

"I was thinking that maybe, um, you and me could...." Ned gulped.

"Why, Ned Malone, are thinking what I think your thinking?" Veronica smiled, that oh so lovely smile that Ned loved.

"If your thinking about setting Marguerite and Roxton up, then yes, I'm thinking that same thing too." Ned responded.

"It's a deal Mr. Malone." Veronica laughed and shook Ned's hand.

Later on at the Hut....

"So, how should we do this?" Veronica whispered.

"I don't know, maybe we could purposely, trap them in the same spot." Ned said.

"You mean a setup?" Veronica asked.

"Yes, a setup." Ned replied.

"Do you think they'll fall for it?" Veronica asked.

"I hope so, and maybe in the process fall for each other." Ned responded, smiling.

Veronica laughed softly, and a smile came over her face too.

"What are two giggling about?" Roxton asked.

"Nothing." Ned and Veronica said at the same time. They then quickly stood up.

Roxton looked at them for a second, then turned and sat back down.

"Whoah, that was close." Veronica said.

* * * * * *

Ned whistled to Veronica. Veronica screamed.

"Did you hear something?" Roxton said.

"It sounded like Veronica." Marguerite answered.

"MARGUERITE, ROXTON!" Veronica yelled.

"Come on let's go!" Roxton said, he hurriedly grabbed his gun and cocked it.

* * * * * *

Roxton and Marguerite raced down there, but couldn't see Veronica anywhere.

"What the.." Roxton said, but then stopped. "Did you hear something?"

"No, not a thing." Marguerite said.

"All right, come on let's go find Veronica." Roxton replied.

The ground rumbled.

"Now that I defiantly felt." Marguerite said.

Roxton turned around and saw a bunch of medium sized dinosaurs running toward them. A dino raced right along side Roxton, and knocked his gun out of his hand.

"I got to get my gun!" Roxton yelled.

"There's no time for that!" Marguerite answered.

Roxton sighed. "Come on! Let's get out of here!"

"There gaining on us!" Marguerite yelled.

They ran for awhile and then Roxton pulled her off to the side, there was a little space they could stay in, until they passed.

"That was close." Marguerite said.

"Come on, let's go." Roxton answered. Roxton held out his hand to help her up.

"Don't be silly, I can get up myself." Marguerite said, getting up.

They heard a roar from behind them. Roxton turned around, and t-rex stood there behind them, he roared again.

"That would explain why all the others were running!" Marguerite said.

Roxton & Marguerite ran ahead of the t-rex when something came from in front, blocking there way.

"Whoa!" They stopped abrutly. It was a brontosaurus.

"Hang on, this dino can be our escape method." Roxton said.

"What? There is no way I'm riding on one of these things." Marguerite spat out.

"It's either that or get eaten."

Marguerite sighed, Roxton held out his hand, and Marguerite put her foot on it. He pushed up, and Marguerite grabbed onto his head.

"Oww! Let go!" Roxton yelled. "Hurry up, he's gaining on us!"

"Don't be such a baby!" Marguerite said, she climbed up onto the dino's back.

Roxton put his foot on the dino and Marguerite grabbed his hand, and pulled him up.

"Whatever you do don't..."

Too late, Marguerite kicked the dino in the rib's and he took off running.

"Kick him in the ribs." Roxton finished.

When the dino reached the hut, Roxton got off.

Marguerite jumped down, she then stumbled, and she was right in front of Roxton, her hands on his chest. He was looking down at her.

"Thanks, for breaking my fall." Marguerite said and then walked off.

"That was refreshing." Roxton said.

Ned and Veronica grinned from where they watching.

"It's a start." Veronica said, smiling.

"Yes, in deedy, it is." Ned smiled.

* * * * * *

"You know you two, were getting pretty close down there." Ned said.

"Why are you so curious all of the sudden?" Marguerite asked.

"I asked, because you two were getting cozy." Ned responded.

"We were not getting cozy!" Roxton and Marguerite yelled at Ned the same time.

"Yeah, okay, whatever." Ned grinned and went back to his journal.

"I think I'm going to tuck in for the night."

Marguerite stated, she sighed, then got up.

"Goodnight." Summerlee said. "Don't let the bed-bugs bite."

Marguerite changed her clothes and climbed into her bed, she pulled them up to her chin, and closed her eyes.

It was foggy at first, then it started to clear up. A hand reached around her mouth and pulled her back. Marguerite tried screaming but nothing was coming out, why was he doing this?? Who *is* that man?

A faint movement ahead of her, caused her to gasp, someone was up there, her vision was blurry, was she losing consciousness??

The person ran toward her, he was yelling something, she couldn't make it out, but she slowly started to make out the person. It was Roxton.

Then who is this man keeping me away from him?

"Ned!" Roxton yelled. "Release her! What made you do this? What Ned? She trusted you, we ALL trusted you!"

*Ned?* Marguerite thought.

"I couldn't stand it anymore, you two acting all lovey-dovey drove me nuts!"

*Lovey-Dovey?? Roxton and I never acted like that.*

"If you don't let her go, you will regret it." Roxton hissed.

"Regret what?" Ned asked, laughing. Ned jumped on Roxton, and then the scene faded and fog filled the room again.

Marguerite sat up, she was breathing heavily, she was all sweaty, and she was scared. She looked around and saw Roxton sitting there.

"Roxton!" She said, gasping. She flung her arms around him. "I'm so glad to see you."

"I've always been here." He answered. Roxton could hear low sobbing coming from her. "What happened?" He asked, down at her.

"Ned...and you...you were..." She cried some more, and buried her head in his chest.

"Hey, hey, come on now, your getting my shirt all wet." Roxton said.

She pulled away and he put his hands on her arms. Tears were streaming down her face.

*I hate to see her cry like this, she rarely ever cries, it must be something really terrible.*

"Now, tell me what happened..slowly." He asked.

"Ned captured me, I was in a room," she choked back some tears, "and you tried saving me, and Ned, he, he..." she let out a big cry, and hugged Roxton, tightly.

Roxton stroked her hair, "Come on now, it was just a dream, I know it seems real, but it wasn't, I'm still here."

*She's never like this.* He thought.

She sniffled and closed her eyes.

He gently kissed her forehead. Roxton sighed, he stayed there, she needed him there, and right there is where he would be.

* * * * * *

Roxton opened the door and came out, and silently shut it.

"Why were you in there all night?" Ned asked, suprising Roxton.

"She was....upset." Roxton stated. "She had a bad dream." He finished, starting to walk off.

"Did you kiss her?" ned asked.

Roxton spun around. "what?"

"did you kiss her?"

"no, I didn't kiss her. I'm not that romantic." Roxton lied.

"uh-huh, yeah, right." Ned replied. he then walked over to veronica and told her what Roxton said.

"he kissed her!" veronica laughed. "he doesn't want us to know that he like's her!" veronica smiled. "it was a good idea."

"yeah, it was." Ned replied.

Ned leaned in, getting ready to kiss veronica, when challenger called.

"bye, Ned, gotta go, talk later!"

"okay." Ned sighed.

* * * * * *

Challenger studied whatever it was Summerlee had bought to him, "Summerlee, do you have any idea what this is?"

"No, that's why I brought it to you." Summerlee replied.

Challenger sighed. "My head will burst. I'll examine more later." he said sitting the object down.

"Wait a minute, I do believe it's a bird egg!"

Summerlee gasped. "Challenger wouldn't you have known that?"

"I...well, I have a headache. I'm going to rest." Challenger stated, and the stomped.

"You embarrassed him." Roxton chuckled. "He wants to be thought of that he knows it all."

"I suppose your right." Summerlee shrugged. "I wonder what kind it is?"

"So what, it's a bird egg." Roxton said.

"Summerlee's analyzing the egg." Marguerite joked.

"What do you say we go out for a hunt?" Ned asked.

"I'm up for it." Roxton replied.

"Ok, you be the leader though." Marguerite answered.

"Let me get Challenger and Veronica." Ned said.

* * * * * *

*What I wouldn't give for a hot bath* Marguerite thought. *None, of them are looking,* Marguerite disappeared behind some bushes that were in front of a lake, she slipped off her clothes, and got in the water.

"This feel's good." Marguerite said, relaxing.

"Does anyone know where Marguerite wandered off to?" Ned asked.

"You know her, she can't stay in one spot for two minutes, she probably went off looking for jewels." Roxton replied.

"Roxton, will go look for her?" Ned asked.

Roxton sighed. "Yes, keep going I'll catch up."

Roxton mumbled words as he approached the lake, "Go look for her," "Find Marguerite." "Why do I always have to?"

"Marguerite!" Roxton yelled.

"What?" She responded from nearby.

"Your taking a bath? We were supposed to be hunting." Roxton said.

"I was tired, and hot." She replied.

"Well, come on get out." Roxton asked.

"That's it?" Marguerite asked. "What about the 'please' part?"

"Come on, Marguerite." Roxton replied.

"Say it."

"Please." Roxton said, embarrassed.

"Ok, thank you." she answered.

"Hurry up." Roxton stated.

"Ahhem, not with you watching, turn around please." Roxton sighed, and turned around.

Marguerite got out, and put back on her clothes. "Ok, let's go."

"It's about time." Roxton answered.

They caught up with the others.

"Where were you guys?" Ned asked.

"She was taking a bath!" Roxton replied.

"I had a right!" marguerite said, defending herself. "And besides, he hadn't turned around until I asked him to!"

"She lies." Roxton stated. He walked ahead of them. "Anything to get away from her."

*He likes being strung along, but yet it drives him crazy* Marguerite smiled.

"Let's take a rest." Marguerite said.

"Oh, come on, you can't keep going on, because your precious feet can't carry it?" Roxton stated.

"Let's rest." Ned replied.

Roxton sighed, "Fine."

After sitting there for a few minutes Roxton stood up. "Let's go."

"I'm still tired." Marguerite said.

"Marguerite don't move!" Roxton yelled.

"What?" She asked afraid.

"Hold on." Roxton said.

A snake hissed in Marguerite's ear.

"GET IT OFF!" She screamed. "HURRY ROXTON!! GET IT OFF!"

"I will!" Roxton yelled.

Roxton tried grabbing the snake, but it struck at him, he pulled his hand away quickly.

"Malone, knife." Roxton said.

Ned quickly gave him his knife.

Roxton aimed, and stabbed the knife, without getting Marguerite. Roxton scrouched down. "Well?"

"Thank you." She replied.

"Let's get going." Roxton said. "You lead Ned."

Roxton lagged behind, he looked at his hand, two bite marks were there, and it was bleeding some. He frowned, this was not good.

* * * * * *

They reached the hut, and went up the elevator, Roxton was not feeling good, he felt woozy, he stumbled.

"Roxton, are you alright?" Marguerite asked.

"I'm fine." He answered.

"Roxton, no your not," She looked at his hand. "Roxton you've been bitten!"

She catched him as he collapsed into her arms.
